The Path Foundation, in partnership with DeKalb County, Rockdale County, and the Arabian Mountain Heritage Alliance has developed an extraordinary trail system through 7000 acres of green-space southeast of Atlanta.
The Arabian Mountain Trail and Rockdale River Trail provide hikers and bikers with a healthy, cardio workout, as they meander their way through marvelous rock formations, fields of wildflowers, rushing streams, and towering pines.
The Arabian Mountain Trail begins near the Mall at Stonecrest and winds its way along Klondike Road, to Browns Mill Road, and Lyons Road passing the River Overlook.
From there it moves on to Alexander Lake, runs parallel to Flat Bridge Road, along Daniels Road before arriving at the covered bridge over Route 212. One tributary ends at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, while another takes you on to the Rockdale Community Park.
